Gallery: Downing St. MCL problems 27 Feb 2008

This gallery was last updated on Wednesday 27th February 2008.

A series of large vehicles drove into the Mandatory Cycle Lane on Downing Street, causing danger for oncoming cyclists. The traffic jam started because of poor management of vehicles waiting to access the Grand Arcade development. Oncoming cyclists were forced off the road, at a time when the pavement was busy with pedestrians. With-flow cyclists had to weave between large vehicles in order to get through. This series is typical of the disregard for the MCL during the Grand Arcade work.
