Woodhead Drive and Downham's Lane are used by coaches for overnight parking and for arrivals/departures. The parked coaches cause major obstructions on the road and are particularly dangerous for cyclists. Sometimes, vans etc. are parked to try to deter the coaches - this also causes problems for cyclists near the island at the entrance to Woodhead Drive. Surely a P&R site could be used by prior agreement, or arrangements made with Science Park businesses to use their car parks out of hours?

Foreign coach causing severe obstruction on a snowy night. Note that car tyre tracks show cars have had to cross central line markings in order to overtake the monster. Coach parking is a big problem here.

Number plates of the two coaches shown in #16090: Dutch Lanting Reizen coach BJ-XH-66 and Voyage GERON FL 9792 from Luxembourg. (The lights were turned on on the latter just as I arrived - it had been parked overnight)

Lisieux Aiglons coach 7441 TX 61 parked since last night. Oncoming car has to drive on wrong side of the road of a blind bend in order to overtake. V little room for cyclists.
