It's not only cyclists who have to put up with lamp posts in the middle of the path! The lamp posts could have been positioned to the left (with longer reach) and have left the path clear. Note also the slope on this pavement which makes walking uncomfortable on the right. This is at the end of another wide possible shared use path.
