As expected, the bridge over the East Coast Main Line is being strengthened and the opportunity to make it cycle-friendly is being wasted.
Dropped kerb needed, to allow cyclists access to Alexandra Park without having to pull out on to the main road and immediately turn off.
Work on the bridge in photos #19302 and #19303 - somehow I suspect it's being strengthened for motor traffic and no cycle provision will appear.

What's the point of a nice-looking shared-use cycle route if the gate is closed even when the school is open?
Cycle bypass at rather over-elaborate gate to the main cycle route through Alexandra Park.
A branch to the right would be useful here, to the View Road or Park Avenue North gates.
Double yellow lines needed - access for cycles, wheelchairs and buggies to Alexandra Park blocked. Or perhaps a white H marking as shown at #8579.
