At least the third attempt by Miller Homes to block people to cut through between "Manor" and Chesterton roughly the way people have been walking (and now cycling) across the (former) fields for at least the past 60 years.
View south along NCN12 Great North Way. Section here is a roughly surfaced bridleway, so not suitable for road bikes with fragile tyres. Further south it narrows to a field path width.

A car parking space made room for a few bicycle stands. The narrow advisory cycle lane is kept ouside the door zone. Car parking limits a marked by a blue line (though some large cars exceed it).
A cycle way seperated by the main carriageway through sheffield stand cycle parking plus a bus lane. There is a car (probably illegally) parked on the footway, but no car blocking the cycle way.
A shared use path along the traffic calmed "play street" cul-de-sac (for cars), permeable fro pedestrians and cyclists. Speed on this and the surrounding streets is limited to 30 km/h.
The Icknield Way footpath continues to the left, but cyclists should follow the farm track to the right.
