Excellent news; printed in Cambridge News, 30th December 2010 edition. CDPA 1988 ยง30(2) permits fair use.Other:

27602Photo #27602Clearer markings are needed where bikes can and cannot ride as an awful lot of bikes moving from Union Lane to Arbury road junction go on footpaths that suddenly are no longer cyclepaths. Many cycle over at the pedestrian crossings, which are very overcrowded with school children and parents; so clearly it would be easier if this were made into a toucan crossing so cycles and pedestrians can use this together. Both sets of traffic lights at this junction have to cycle boxes or lanes provided which makes getting through the traffic lights on time very difficult.
Arbury road itself is very narrow for both cars and cyclists with parked cars on the roadside. Some cyclists have overtaken me on the inside to avoid both parked cars and moving traffic. Or they will mount the pavements which I am sure are not cycle paths either (no clear markings provided)
