37243Photo #37243Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council want you to know that if your bike is nicked from here then you're on your own mate.

The actual text reads:

66
These racks are used at your sole risk

The council accepts NO LIABILITY
whatsoever for any injury, loss or
damage, however caused to any
person or item.
99

They might as well say that if you parked your bike here then you were asking for it to be nicked.

These hopeless racks can be undone with a 13 mm spanner. Maybe they've had to put up such a sign because so many bikes have been stolen from here. With a bit more thought this could have been a really positive contribtion to the station, instead it looks like a bike open prison.

A much more positive sign explaining how to properly lock bikes to the available racks would have been nice.

I have mentioned this location before on many occasions. The usual muppet response to the poor road layout. Daily close dangerous passes. Only 3 today rather than the usual 5 or 6. In 2 miles.

Again, breaking "Highway code rule 163".

37164Photo #37164Large amounts of grit and stones on the new Cottenham - Histon cycle path, makes it quite hazardous if you need to turn or stop suddenly.

I suspect that a recent heavy rain event caused a large puddle on the road and the subsequent wash from passing vehicles has washed up lots of debris on to the path. Unfortunately since the road sweeper does not clear the path, it is likely to just get worse and worse over time.

Can someone please clean it?

And in general is there someone responsible for assessing the quality of our cycle paths?

Thanks
