When resurfacing the cycle/foot path, this bit was forgotten. when it rains, there is a waterhole. also new cyclists looking at the poor surface may decide not to use the cycleway at all and join the cars instead.
teh beginning of this way needs to look and be attractive.

Driver didn't care one bit; he winded-up the window and I put my hand on his offside wing mirror to state "Yeah; we weren't done, but fine" --- I walked into Grand Arcade. Driver followed me into building and grabbed my right arm; dragged me, forcing me to drop my bike, back to his vehicle violently. Managed to wriggle free after a while, picked up my bike and had a word with the awaiting Grand Arcade security staff. Footage was recorded, but I really can't be bothered to do anything about the assault; too much hassle for nothing.Enforcement:

23219Photo #23219Hi - great website, although the "Move the map near:" facility didn't work for me (looking for CB4 0WS, Firefox 3.5.9 on OpenSuSE 11).
Despite the nice cycle path and signals, the new junction complex around the Science Park (Milton Road / Orwell Furlong / Cowley Road) doesn't work well for cyclists - we often find ourselves waiting, looking at stationary cars, wondering whether it's safe to cross against the red light. OK, admittedly this isn't really an obstruction... but surely the traffic signals could be re-programmed so that generally cyclists have priority?

23218Photo #23218Cars belonging to horse owners parked on, and completely blocking in the case of the far one, the new Horningsea to Cambridge foot/cycle path leaving cyclists little choice but to drop onto the road into the path on oncoming traffic.
Why this possibility wasn't considered by the planners, given that these cars have always parked there, is a good question. A well thought out design would have given them somewhere to park legally and safely.

23174Photo #23174Possible improvements to the intimidating stretch of very exposed and narrow cycle lane on Newmarket Road near to the Barnwell Road Roundabout. See #12407

We suggest:
1. Removing the left hand traffic lane exiting the roundabout eastbound, as far as the crossing. Widen the cycle lane here to 2m (the recommended width).
2. Convert the crossing to a straight through geometry, with no stagger or sheep pen. Preferably single stage
3. Create an ASL at the Ditton Lane junction.
