Was also some plaques in there that I missed the previous time.

The new foot and cycle bridge across the River Severn at Diglis (just to the south of Worcester).

The £1.8m bridge was opened in July 2010. Diglis Bridge is part of the charity Sustrans Connect2 project which was awarded lottery cash to improve transport in 2007. The new construction links the footpath in Weir Lane with Navigation Road and the Severn Way footpath.

36672Photo #36672Cycle Path

Location: Tollbar End, Coventry (England, United Kingdom)

Whilst on my drizzly walk this morning I also came across the cycle path symbol.
Cycles are very Coventry, and I do believe it was a big feature of the Coventry By-Pass, that it had a Cycle Path all along it's length.

Sadly, it was a big feature of the ring road that was never implemented. According to this page: www.cbrd.co.uk/indepth/coventryringroad/history.shtml the cycle path idea went out the window when they decided to put the ring road up on stilts.

These days cycling across Coventry involves constantly finding routes around the ring road.

36668Photo #36668River Rea - Rea Road / The Mill Walk - Northfield - ford

Location: Turves Green, Birmingham (England, United Kingdom)

I was heading to the Austin Village, when I left Longbridge Lane and headed down Tessall Lane, when I found a Rea Valley route (and also on NCN5).

Wasn't the way I planned on walking but oh well.

I found a river and a flooded road just beyond a new housing development (after I left the path behind me).

Think it is the River Rea, based on local roads being named Rea, and being on the Rea Valley route.

The footbridge for pedestrians and cyclists to cross, although saw little girls cycling through the flooded road section!

The flooded road and footbridge.

Bit like Green Road in Moseley / Sarehole.

What is particularly irritating is the amount of off-road space available here.

I think the clip says it all. I saw loads of cyclists and vehicles around today.
- 2 RLJ vehicles
- 10+ close passes
- 1 taxi blocking ASL
- 0 cyclist infractions at all
All in less than 10 miles of road route (13 total)

This was the worst general driving out of all of them, although the close passes were more dangerous to me, especially at 60mph.
