The 'rumbling bridge' over the Water of Leith at Powderhall. BRIDGE NOW REPLACED - no longer rumbles!
Initially taken to show that (temporary) traffic counter 'missed' bicycles! Also shows very valuable cycle lane on outside of parking bays.
The Water of Leith Walkway (regarded as a cycle way, although not particularly suitable in this area) passes under the bridge here then crosses over it and turns left.
The Water of Leith Walkway is used by cyclists, although it's not particularly suitable in this area.
Cycle access through road closure leading to the Water of Leith Walkway (also steps across the road)
Cycle parking at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh - a new entry complex is being built on the opposite side of the garden, which may have more cycle stands.
Edinburgh Waverley station - notoriously un-cyclefriendly. If the barrier was just a little shorter cyclists could get past.
cycle parking outside Haymarket station - the station is overcrowded and soon to be rebuilt, so let's hope there's a big expansion in cycle parking.
