A route sign on the Union Canal, with four directions indicated:
Union Canal eastbound (via Falkirk Tunnel)
Union Canal westbound (Falkirk Wheel)
Falkirk High station
Dirt path to Slamannan Road (part of the HArTT cycle route, #103474)
You could be forgiven for thinking the HArTT signs (the lowest pair) both point along the canal. Only one does. The other is meant to direct people up the dirt path just at the edge of the picture. (I didn't appreciate the significance of this path when taking the photograph.)
