Stretford nr Manchester an example where dropped kerbs work. Cycling is allowed on the pavement so under the bridge under the Motorway on the pavement is more comfortable but rejoining after makes sense as the road crossings are long and complex with sight lines dangerous. A similar layout occurs southbound under the Motorway as well.
