View from Moorfield Road, Whittlesford looking south towards the A505 junction (a staggered cross-roads beyond which a continuation of Moorfield Road leads to Duxford). This is NCN 11.

The short stub of road to the right leads towards a cycle/pedestrian crossing point which allows cyclists to cross the A505 one lane at a time using a large central refuge.

However in August 2019 the short stub of road to the right was reconstructed and a cycleway which was on the left-hand side of that road has been removed. This means that the only way to get to the safer crossing point is to cycle down the stub of road (which is fine) and then bump over a full-height kerb.

This needs to be fixed by installing a dropped kerb at the far end of this stub of road, allowing cyclists to get to and from the safe crossing point.
