Photo #109618

View of a short cul-de-sac off Moorfield Road, Whittlesford that leads towards a safe cycle/pedestrian crossing point where cyclists can cross the A505 one lane at a time using a large central refuge. This is NCN 11.

You can see the crossing point that cyclists need to get to (or come from, when heading north) in the middle of the photo (just before where the rear wheel of that passing car is), and the lack of a dropped kerb on the desire line.

This needs to be fixed by installing a dropped kerb on the desire line, allowing cyclists to get to and from the safe crossing point. This would still be more than 10m from the A505 so there is plenty of space to add give way markings and signs to avoid the possibility of southbound cyclists failing to give way when they reach the A505.
