Illustrates the anti-cycling policies of Warrington Council.

Cycleway is only provided with crossings on the entrance arms of the roundabout - NOT the exits. This means that cyclists face the added danger and delay of having to make extra crossings of the circulating carriageway. Any movement through the junction involves stopping and waiting at four separate toucan crossings, guarunteed to be out of phase with each other. To add insult to injury, even if you arrive at the crossing and push the button while motor traffic is held at red you do not get a green signal until the next complete cycle.

While at a superficial level the council claims to be spending money on facilities for cyclists it is clear that the only purpose of this is to avoid cyclists causing any impedence whatsoever to the movement of motor vehicles.
