The council have spent large sums installing traffic signals to attempt to limit speeding on Jackson’s Edge Road but it isn’t working, and people are very unhappy about the narrow/non existent pavement. The most sensible step might just be to close the road here to motor vehicles altogether. The A6 provides perfectly good through access to either side.
