The road is much too wide and encourages high-speed driving. The (single) narrow footpath is shared by walkers, joggers, cyclists, horses and parked cars. The road should be narrowed considerably, the speed limit reduced to 20mph, and separate foot and cycle paths should be provided on both sides of the road. This is warranted because this is a "recway" - an important recreational route for local residents wishing to access Holme Pierrepont.
