I mentioned to the head of the highway authority for Cambridgeshire that cyclists using the bypass lane did not have to cycle across the dashes. I was told those dashes should be interpreted as 'Give Way'. Two weeks later an extra dash has been added!

Note also that a white triangle has beed added in advance of the rising bollard.
