With the proposed closure of School Road, traffic will be forced down Cotton Lane.
Cotton Lane has a single pavement between school road and number 15. Next to number 15 is a blind corner. Children and families regularly cross the road here while cars are speed past. Cars coming from School Road cannot see anyone starting to cross the road.
Cars are parked on the road between School Road and Grove Avenue, causing single-file traffic.
There's a second blind corner on Cotton Lane with a single pavement just after one passes Grove Avenue. Cars are also parked on the road here. Increased traffic here would be more dangerous than it already is.
Suggestion: Speed bumps, and signs near the blind corners. Mirrors to help people crossing the blind corner in front of number 15.
No increase in traffic going down Cotton Lane in response to School Road closure.
