Current traffic calming measures, mainly in the form of parking spaces protected by islands and bollards, make multiple pinch points throughout Dipton for cyclists to navigate. These can be dangerous and stressful for cyclists while impatient drivers attempt to overtake either as the road narrows, or at narrow points. This is a primary route with no reasonable alternatives, and the space utilised by traffic calming measures could be used for cycling infrastructure.
