This is a busy pedestrian route for local residents, school children, and the elderly/seniors, mobility scooters. The Pavement is only 68cm wide and cars are always parked on the road side, and when social distancing is required the only route is onto the road which is a high speed cut through/rat run of over 1550 vehicles a day which avoid the main traffic lights on the A5111. Residents Petition to close the road is being considered.
Solution is to stop cut through traffic by closing North Street/ Eastwood Drive at any point leaving it open to pedestrians and cycling.
