Poster erected by ad-hoc committee of traders and residents implying (falsely) that the whole community is behind their campaign to reinstate all the pollution and injuries arising from through-traffic on the bridge.
In fact, only 50-70 people turned up to their march. There are 150 traders on the street, and around 20,000 residents within walking distance.
Despite claiming they want to find a better way, not a single specific proposal has been put forward. Re-opening the bridge to through-traffic prevents any serious ability to make the street safe and to transform it into a wonderful destination that brings people into the local shops and cafes.
