There is no pavement on this railway bridge. The route is used on foot by numerous school children going to Talbot Heath School, who have to walk in the road. Cars coming round the bend from the south at higher speeds can pose a significant hazard to pedestrians, particularly during darker mornings and evenings in the winter. I suggest a protected footpath on the western side of the bridge, with vehicle traffic subject to a 'give way to oncoming vehicles' arrangement to make space for the footpath. Improving the pedestrian route would encourage more journeys on foot to the school, and thus reduce vehicle traffic.
