There is a problem on Sidmouth street caused by the new one way restrictions to make way for the supposed improved cycle and walk way - where can I comment on this? What is the perceived need for cycle space here? Most cyclists avoid the IDR due to the heavy vehicular traffic, so it'd be better to provide more useful routes through quieter residential roads. Traffic which need to travel south down Sidmouth street now have to go on the IDR and cut up Eldon Road, adding to the general traffic and pollution. This also affects students and pupils of the nearby schools and University as they walk and cycle round there. It also impacts on people trying to get to the hospital. Has anyone looked at the impact of this change?!
