[Update: 23.4.1. An email from the university says: "We have been in touch with our Tier contacts and expressed your concerns and the signage has been removed." [Image taken 6.3.21] Worrying message on the Tier electric hire scooters (www.tier.app/tier-selected-as-sole-operator-to-serve-historic-york/) at the Spring Lane building at the University of York. (See also the Sunday Times article from 18.12.22 #188823.) The 'Why Walk' is at odds with the quote by Cllr Andy D’Agorne, Executive Member for Transport at City of York Council: “This will provide a fantastic opportunity to explore how e-scooters might add to the mix of sustainable transport options... The trial will also form part of the city’s Covid-19 response in terms of, for example, providing sustainable alternatives to support capacity on public transport across the city." For the list of all Tier scooter sites in York documented, and issues see #164663.
