Poor design makes the path from Alderman Road to Kelso Street vulnerable to obstruction by car parking. There is a dropped kerb and faded green patch, but they are insufficient to prevent motorists blocking them. A build-out is required.

Diagonally opposite, there is a signed path from Kelso Street to Hawick Street.
