Left hand filter lanes are awful for cyclists heading straight on as you need to negotiate into the middle of the road. This one is particularly gratuitous since hardly any traffic heading ion this direction will take that turn. The reverse manoeuvre (turning right from Slutchers Lane) is prohibited - though that wold be a useful way for cyclists to reach the town centre.
