[Update: #169138] [Image taken 24.3.21] Layerthorpe, York. Grating in carriageway. It is dead centre in the side road. The slots are in the direction of travel ie right where someone on a cycle is positioned. Tyres could go in. Someone could come off. Wheels could buckle. Why are these slotted drains used in an urban road environment? See also: #166147
