[Image taken 19.3.21] Unassuming but oversubscribed cycle facility, York. The cycle cut-through crosses the pavement between Rougier Street (ahead) and Tanner's Moat (behind). It's narrow. The pavement is a very well-used pedestrian route. People on cycles use it (in the direction of the camera view) to reach the ASL (to access Lendal gyratory); towards the camera from Rougier Street ie the route leading to the ASL to reach Lendal Bridge avoiding the Lendal gyratory; from Lendal Bridge to the right (not visible) from Lendal gyratory (Station Avenue, not visible).
