[Image taken 23.4.21] Clifton Moor Gate, York. This crossing is around 50m from the one at the junction with Stirling Road (see: #167859). Both avoid using the roundabout on Clifton Moor Gate. The tarmac around this Tesco was relaid in early 2021. The markings of the zebra are clear. But are people permitted to cycle over it? Some do. Some don't. Plus there are no signs to show where the routes go or where they are in the network of cycle-pedestrian paths here. The paved area is a bus stop. Buses waiting here obscure the sightlines for all users in all directions. For more images taken here today see #167846, and links.
