[Newer image: #174351 and links] [Image taken 2.5.21] Rowntree Park, York. [NOTE: No streetview at this location.] Set of three racks offering six spaces for cycle parking. I am not convinced people will understand the purpose of these shapes unless there are at least two cycles already in them. They could be taken for art. I find the shape challenging, even intimidating: it's not clear how to use the racks. There's no hardstanding so the area will become worn. (Aesthetics are important in some contexts. Designers may not want to include cycle parking or choose a design that is interesting or they consider attractive but which is impractical.) The ground may also become muddy and unusable/unattractive in or after wet weather. There is no variety so if your cycle won't fit you can't use them. Can family/other groups use them if they are sharing locks? There's space between them for wider designs if it is possible to secure such a cycle to the racks. If the wider cycles are self-supporting (though if the ground is soft a stand/support might not work) and the owner is not worried about theft, perhaps as they will remain within view, and can lock the cycle to itself, the spaces between them will be useful. All images of these racks from today see: #168286 and links
