[Image taken 2.5.21] Rowntree Park, York. When a cycle is unsupported (see: #10741) or unequally weighted (see: #167791, though these racks are on a slope which is also a problem) or the rack is too close to an object (see: #165596), it can tip over as here. (The person posting this image: #9347 suggested it was the lock/locking technique that was at fault. I don't agree. You should not need a specific design of lock to be able to use a rack. Finding and using the cycle parking at your destination should be the easiest part of your journey.) This unstable cycle creates a further obstacle to someone using the neighbouring space: there's no room. All images of these racks from today see: #168286 and links
