[UPDATE: The floodgates have been replaced. The route re-opened 19.11.21] [Image taken 19.5.21] Esplanade/Wellington Row, York. At the bottom of the steep steps from the city walls/Lendal Bridge is one of the explanation noticeboards for the diversion/closure of the cycle and walking routes under Lendal Bridge. There's also a map for cyclists. The siting of the noticeboard means people who find it can read it safely. The location for the cycle diversion is difficult to fathom. These issues see also: #169091, #168886. This location (Perky Peacock cafe) see also: #169139 and links.
