This isn't really a crossing because there is nowhere to cross to, more of a "T" junction where the stem of the "T" is a traffic free path across Parkers Piece.
The left turn ban is a nonsense and is widely ignored, as can be seen (lady in yellow turning left across pedestrian section, ladies in red and grey walking across the cycle section, because white van is blocking the pedestrian crossing). The left turn ban should be removed.
