[Image taken 21.5.21] Esplanade, York. This is now a diversion for during the replacement of the flood gates under Lendal Bridge (see: #168886). It has gone from obscure link to key route. The surface water obscures the height and shape of the ramp… 3.5cm and square. This could hurt, cause a pinchflat or literally stop someone in their tracks. I dismount and lift my cycle over. Not everyone can do this. The diversion is therefore substandard and, perhaps for some, these are barriers they can’t traverse. Surface water today see: #169487 and links
