[Image taken 21.5.21] Leeman Road, York. This contraflow cycle lane is part of the Wellington Row diversion (see: #168588). This means it's busier. However, with relaxation of the covid-19 regulations people can travel again to party... It was also obvious that people are returning to use public transport. There was a continuous stream of people likely from the train station a few hundred metres to the right. But people crossing makes it even more difficult for people on cycles and wheelchairs to exit this junction to join the traffic in the left-hand lane (Lendal Bridge, the Minster...) The grey structure among the clutter on the right is a push button toucan to enable people in the contraflow lane to reach/join the far lane of traffic (Rougier Street, etc).
