[Image taken 29.5.21] Marygate car park, York. There is little room in the car park. When it is busy drivers have to make lots of small movements. This increases the hazards and the levels of pollution for people moving thorough it on cycles, on foot, in wheelchairs (see: #169997) (Locals and visitors: tourists arrive in a car and change to another mode.) Today was the Saturday of a Bank Holiday weekend. And the first since most covid-19 restrictions had been lifted. The car park seemed oversubscribed with people parking in locations that were not marked as spaces. And with this exit not protected, there is insufficient space for someone in a wheelchair/mobility scooter to pass through. This issue see also: #169786. [This issue other exit/entrance see: #169841.] Other photos here today: #169787, #169789. Other issues around here search on Marygate car park.
