[Image taken 23.6.21] Heworth Green (A1036) close to junction with Eboracum Way, York. Uncontrolled vegetation growth creates hazards for cyclists (for example at cycle parking: #170526) and by reducing the width of routes as in this image but also alongside rail lines where it also impacts upon others making active journeys ie on foot, in wheelchairs - see: #170501. Yet I don’t see any discussion of it. And I haven't seen anyone out cutting the 'fluffy ankles' of trees. The issue illustrated here and in: #170575 is an annual problem in York. The advisory cycle lanes do not meet standards and unchecked foliage exacerbates the issue. But are drivers aware of it and do they leave extra room when overtaking people on cycles? This issue today see also: #170575 Other images today: #170573
