[Image taken 11.7.21] George Hudson Street (direction of Rougier Street), York. This oversized sign is angled away from the road which means it may not be seen by those it is aimed at. It needs moving: to make it visible, to remove the obstruction of the already narrow pavement, so it is not at risk from being knocked accidentally or deliberately by someone on the pavement or on the road and therefore cannot create a hazard in a different location. It needs the CYC active travel officer treatment (see: #171868). Search on ‘reduntantsign’, ‘fallensign’ and ‘redunantcone’ for more examples of this problem. Other images today: #171860 and links
