The cycle track at Herbertson Street forms part of a link from Eglinton Street to Norfolk Street eastbound, but there is no assistance for making the initial right turn from Eglinton Street other than the right turn lane for the Coburg Street turn at the traffic signals.

There used to be an ordinary street here, but it was closed to motor traffic as part of the Route Action Plan programme.
