But as there are two rings - pedestrians tend to use the shorter inner one (in front of the bench in the image) and people cycling the other. I thought the flood defences extended along the river Ouse in York towards Clifton Bridge could have included a route on the top wide enough for shared use. Perhaps it was considered.
