The sign and the grit were still in situ 22.10.21 - a Friday so before a weekend and ahead of a half term. [UPDATE: LNER have not responded to my emails. I emailed Network Rail. Today (a second day of heavy rain in York) it responded: "This is our land, but we would not have put the sign down. The team have reported it to the council, who may still require it to be there. If it is not cleaned up in the next couple of days, our team will remove any hazards and leave the sign to one side. Thank you for highlighting this matter to us." [Image taken 25.9.21] York rail station. [NOTE: No streetview at this location.] Heavy rain, high winds in York 27.9.21. The grit will be dispersed to create a slip and skid hazard over a wider area. I will re-re report this to LNER. A previous image: #173819 and links.
