[UPDATE: 9.10.21] The works intended to stop rat running in Navigation Road (see: #174548) have finished. However, with no changes to the mouth of this junction, people on cycles approaching on the off-road path on the far side of the darker of the two blue cars (see: #174555), after using the toucan (goo.gl/maps/FWBGjbRxFxKZnFvAA, goo.gl/maps/oMYEwoijJRcmMx7X6, goo.gl/maps/7qbLH9RTQ42ss5fs9) still have no obvious and safe way to turn into Navigation Road - the blue car is blocking the drop kerb, for example - that does not bring them into conflict with vehicles turning out into Foss Islands Way or vehicles turning into it from Foss Islands Road. [Image taken 29.9.21] Foss Islands Road, York, junction with Navigation Road. For people cycling this junction is: messy, unclear, substandard. But it's part of NCN658 and a key route to retail parks (there are several supermarkets within .5km, for example); also to Foss Islands Cycle Path (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Cycle_Route_658, yorkbikebelles.community/resources/nature-time-routes/foss-islands-path/); and Hazel Court, the municipal recycling centre with cycle and pedestrian access see: #170918. Context see: #174548 and links
