[Update: #179511] [Image taken 8.10.21] Nunnery Lane, York. This flyparked cycle is clear sign of the urgent need for cycle parking. It would support local shops and businesses including on the nearby Bishopthorpe ('Bishy') Road, and the travel choices of customers and, likely also, staff. It would encourage and enable people to make active travel journeys. The owner of the cycle said she couldn't find anywhere else to secure her cycle while she popped into a shop near here.
