It was interesting watching (from the other side of the junction) the differing strategies employed by drivers when confronted with traffic signals where both the red lights were faulty. The impatient ones assumed wrongly that the signals for the whole junction were out, and risked causing collisions by driving across the junction, and one driver waited until the traffic across the other side (which was sitting there stationary) started to move. The amber and green lights, and the signals on the other sides of the junction were functioning.
