[Image taken 31.10.21] Burton Stone Lane, York looking towards the junction with Crichton Avenue. The sunshine and unusually empty street, belies the unpleasant situation for people who cycle here. Between Field View and Crichton Avenue there is a 30mph. Drivers overtake people on cycles even when the junction ahead is visible. In the opposite direction (towards Field View/the camera position) drivers avoid surface water but more usually the cars parked along here) and drive at people on cycles coming towards them. If there is flooding on the righthand side of the road, drivers make no allowances for people on cycles trying to avoid it.
