[Image taken 11.11.21] York Road, Haxby, approaching the ring road roundabout. So much clutter: five signs, one poster, one banner. None challenges drivers to re-think their journey. The signs for cycling are tiny. They do not give distances and they do not include the walking or wheelchairing symbols. You can walk/wheelchair to those destinations: there are pavements or, on the off-road Haxby Cycleway, segregation of cyclists and pedestrians. Some people do walk/roll, but many more could. Other images this discussion: #175775 and links.
