[Image taken 13.11.21] York rail station, York. [NOTE: No street view at this location.] This fenced off space is the cycle-pedestrian-wheelchair level access to/from/through the station and the route to Scarborough Bridge, the city, riverside routes, the hospital, tourist accommodation and schools in Bootham, York St John University. Thousands of people pass by it every day. If returned to use it would make the route more direct, more intuitive and more attractive-comfortable for all users including those with sight issues: no barrier unexpectedly directly ahead, no dogleg to negotiate, for example.
