[Image taken 29.11.21] Burton Stone Lane, junction with Ratcliffe Street, York. [Note: The works signs were removed 29.11.21] The pedestrian crossing was closed during the works. Burton Stone Lane has a 20mph limit but speeds are fast, pavements are narrow, and many people get around on foot including with children and/or in/on/with a mobility aid. The priorities are all wrong. People need protection and safe routes to be able to move around for food shopping, taking children to/from school, visiting family, getting to bus stops, etc, etc. Context and other images here today: #176416.
