[UPDATE: #183856] [Image taken 7.1.22] Low Ousegate, York. 'Tram track'-style damage. Longitudinal, direction of travel cracking that can trap a cycle wheel. Even crossing such damage can make the handling of a cycle unpredictable. This is a busy spot after a blind corner with bus stops and queueing traffic on both carriageways. Pedestrians may spill into the road from the narrow congested pavements and they may cross too. Riding here is never predictable. People on cycles must be able to look around at what is happening. We must not need to look down at the carriageway, to check for damage, to see where we can cycle. I have been reporting this since 01.07.2016. I've just had another go. Other images today: #177419 and links.
